How You Can Connect With A Broader Audience Through Webinars

Posted by Suzanne McKee on May 7, 2016 1:00:00 PM

If you had the opportunity to share your product assortment and valuable growing tips with one prospective customer, you would put a considerable amount of time and thoughtfulness into what information would be most valuable to them and ensure that they walk away more knowledgeable about your products.

Now, what if you could take that same effort and reach 100 people or more?

That’s what webinars can do for your business. They can take the personal touch of a sales call and turn it into a professional and efficient sales tool with far more reach and effectiveness. The beauty of it is the customer wins, too. Often, customers don’t have time to engage in a two-hour sales call in the middle of their day, but a 45-minute webinar they can watch from the comfort of their own office offers a lot of value to them.

I certainly don’t propose that webinars should replace all personal engagements with your customers and prospects. However, they can add a tremendous advantage to your business and to the customers you serve.
Webinars offer distinction to the companies who do them right, but most importantly, they bring value to prospects and customers with educational, timely, and helpful information that will help them be successful.

Is Email Dead?

Posted by Suzanne McKee on Aug 18, 2015 11:51:55 AM

Is eMail (marketing) dead? The resounding answer from a group of digital marketing experts at the recent Digital Marketing Summit in Denver was no. It’s a hot topic now with social media and numerous communication apps seemingly taking over the way we share messages with friends, family and prospects. We are inundated with different ways to communicate, and the fear has been that marketers have crowded the inbox in a way that has made this particular channel lose its effectiveness.

My most recent article in Greenhouse Grower Magazine explores what data points matter most for your business and what to do with it once you have the information.

Article Exerpt:

Use Your Data To Make Smarter Marketing Decisions

You have likely spent a lot of time and resources on your website. You take the time to put your marketing eMails together thoughtfully before you hit the send button. But do you really know which campaigns produce results? Do you know the pages on your website that bring in visitors? Or, those that more people leave your site from?
The amount of data you can collect electronically these days can become overwhelming, but it is worthwhile to take some time to decide which metrics are important to your business, to help measure your successes and learn where changes are needed.

My trip to the IGC at the Navy Pier in Chicago:

Chicago is my favorite large city (besides Denver) and when the opportunity came up to visit the IGC Trade show on Navy Pier, I jumped at the chance. So my wife Peggy and I spent 3 glorious days in Chicago touring the show and of course the city.

Advocate Marketing - an interesting look at getting your customers involved

Posted by Suzanne McKee on Mar 20, 2014 1:42:00 PM

I recently attended an event here in Denver ( and it was full of insights and interesting things to consider for our businesses. The speakers were all smart, well-spoken and more interested in sharing their expertise than promoting their companies (which was very refreshing). I found value in each presenter but I became particularly engaged when Jim Williams, VP Marketing at Influitive, and Bo Bandy, Marketing Communications Manager at ReadyTalk began their advocate marketing workshop. The concept is not a new one, we have always known that word-of-mouth marketing is incredibly effective, however they way they proposed getting more actively involved in it as opposed to passively hoping it happens was pretty eye-opening.
